Sync up, then pick your shade
The phone app's account screen can now pull your GitHub profile fresh and save the color your name wears in the log. Your own settings reply finally carries your lane, sponsors link and last sync time.

You open the account screen in the phone app and tap Sync from GitHub. A second later your bio, company, location and website are back, and a small timestamp says when they last came in. Right below sit the colors. There are six lanes, or a hex you type yourself. Pick one and your name in the log changes shade.
Credit goes to simonhamp, who gave the signed API two new moves and taught your own-account reply to carry what only you see in settings. A sync spends four calls to GitHub and is allowed once a minute, the same limit as the web, so a second tap comes back with a wait. The color takes a lane from 0 to 5, or an empty lane with a custom #rrggbb, and the reply hands back your profile, your lane, the lane Automatic would pick for you, your sponsors link and the last sync time.
One catch. The color has to be lowercase six-digit hex. Paste #1A2B3C from your design tool, or a lazy #fff, and the save bounces back rejected. You also cannot send a lane and a custom color together, and choosing a lane later wipes the color you just picked.
