Features

Your org takes the mic in the composer

Members can now post, reply and quote as their organization, picking it from a menu on the composer's avatar. Readers see the organization alone. The person who typed is recorded quietly.

mnapoli, who filed the change, pictured in the contributor’s own avatar.

You click the small avatar beside the composer and a Post as menu drops down. Your own name appears first, then each organization you belong to. Pick one and its square avatar takes the round one's place. When you post, the commit lands in the log signed by the organization and nothing else. The same menu sits in the reply box, and every commit still starts as you, so posting for the org is always a deliberate click.

Credit goes to mnapoli, who taught a commit to have two names. The organization becomes the author readers see. You stay the poster, and moderation, timeouts and bans still land on you. Any member of the org can delete its commits, but none can star, report, vote in or give pastéis to them, and the star list stays private to you. Organization pages gain a Commits tab, first and default, twenty commits a page. Exports reach schema 5 and carry a separate organization commits list, images and polls included.

One catch. An organization's commits notify no one yet, and get no welcome reply and no answer from Tom, because either would show who actually typed it.
