Draft thumbnails open into the whole picture

The little 80-pixel squares in your composer now click open into a full-screen viewer with zoom, paging, and your alt text a tap away. Escape puts you back on the thumbnail.

You paste a screenshot into a commit, and the composer hands you an 80-by-80 postage stamp with the edges cropped off. Click it now and the same file fills the screen. Scroll or pinch to zoom, use the arrows to flip through the other attachments, and hit the download button to save the original.

Credit goes to tooinfinity, who plugged draft attachments into the same lightbox that published commits already use. The viewer reads your local files straight from their browser blob URLs, so you are inspecting the real thing before it posts, not a server copy. With two or three attachments a counter ticks 1/3, and downloads keep your original filename. A pasted image with no name gets an extension guessed from its type, with jpeg saved as .jpg. Descriptions ride along too, up to 1,000 characters each.

There is one catch. The description does not appear on its own. Each picture hides its caption behind a small ALT tag in the corner, and every new image starts hidden, so on a three-shot draft you tap three times to read what you wrote. Escape closes the viewer and hands focus back to the thumbnail it came from.
