Features

Your post hits /dev/null before the server does

Delete one of your own commits and it leaves the feed the instant the card folds, with your scroll position intact. The server catches up a moment later.

Scroll halfway down the log, click the trash icon on your own commit, and confirm Delete. The card folds up, prints rm … → /dev/null, and is gone. The feed never reloads, and the page you had scrolled to stays where you left it.

Credit prateekbhujel, who taught the card to delete in memory first. It drops the post from the loaded feed, subtracts one from your profile's commit count, floored at zero, and clears the pinned post if that was the one. The request that follows refreshes a short list of page props but not the feed, so loaded pages and the cursor survive. The fold gets 700 milliseconds before the request goes out. Ask for reduced motion, and it gets none.

There is one gap. Posts that quote the deleted one still show its text. The early removal edits the feed list, not the quoted copies tucked inside other cards, so a quote reads normally until you reload.
