Your kid photos stop getting carded

Moderation no longer guesses how old the people in your pictures are, so family photos clear on their own. Sexual content involving minors is still caught.

You attach the birthday-party photo, the one with your eight-year-old mid-sprinkle, and hit commit. Instead of a rejection note, the post goes up. The site used to hand your pictures to a second model that asked whether anyone in them was, or might plausibly be, under 18, and it answered yes whenever it wasn't sure.

Credit goes to paulinevos, who pulled that second opinion out of the pipeline and the rejection label that came with it. Photos still go through the safety scanner, one request per image, with the post's text riding along with the first. A sexual/minors score of 1 percent or more flags the picture. Every other category flags at 20 percent. Threats in the text still get their own reasoning pass.

There is one catch. Nothing checks ages any more, drawings and renders included. The only guard left on a child in a photo is that sexual/minors score, and the machine rejects on its own only at 95 percent or higher. A flagged photo scoring 90 percent gets labeled rejected and then sits in the moderator queue until a person looks at it.
