Chat history gets a fast lane back to now

Scroll deep into an old Remotes conversation and a button appears to carry you back to the newest message. It waits until all 25 newest messages are out of sight, then takes you home in one click.

You're deep in a Remotes thread, wheel humming, catching up on last week's argument, when a small button pops up above the composer. It reads Back to present. One click and the conversation snaps to the newest message, whether you're in a direct chat, an org room, or the desktop dock.

Credit goes to xHeaven, who taught the thread to notice when you've wandered off. It counts back 25 messages, skips system notices such as joins, and measures where that 25th message sits against the bottom edge of the chat pane. When all 25 are out of sight, the button appears. When that 25th message peeks back in, it vanishes. Because it measures the real row, tall images and short one-liners both work, and so does a resized window.

One catch. It needs 25 messages to count. Scroll to the top of a short conversation, or an org room padded with join notices, and the button never appears, however far back you go.
