Reply sends now glide instead of snapping
Sending a reply no longer jerks the conversation to the bottom. Your thread keeps its place, then eases the new message into view.

You are parked at the bottom of a chat and tap Reply on a photo. The quoted bar unfolds and the latest message stays put above it instead of sliding behind the composer. Cancel, and the space folds away cleanly. Type a short reply, push it, and the conversation glides to your message rather than jumping.
Credit goes to xHeaven, who taught the thread to remember what you were reading before it sends, put that row back in the same frame the new bubble appears, and then ask the browser for a smooth scroll to the newest message. Anything within 48 pixels of the bottom counts as the bottom, so opening or canceling a reply keeps you pinned there. Deeper in history, your reading position holds. The server's confirmation no longer cuts the scroll short, reduced-motion users get an instant reveal, and the full-page chat and desktop dock share the fix.
One catch. The glide gives up the instant you touch the thread. A wheel nudge, a finger drag, or an arrow key stops it wherever it was. Nothing resumes it, so you finish the scroll yourself.
