Fixes

Every follow sticks now, not just the last one

Click Follow on three names in a row and all three buttons turn to Following, even on a slow connection. A second click on the same person now waits its turn instead of quietly unfollowing.

Open Who to follow and three names sit there with a Follow button each. You click them fast, the way you do. All three flip to Following now, and a reload agrees with you. Before, the second click cut off the first follow while it was still on its way, so its button never changed even though the server had already saved it.

The fix comes from rohitsasi720, who stopped the buttons from cancelling each other. Each follow now travels on its own, so starting the next one leaves the one in flight alone. A little note kept per person says a follow is on its way, and a second click on that same name waits for the first answer. The button on a profile and the one beside it in the sidebar wait on each other too. The button keeps its width, so the list doesn't jump. Followers, following, and the follow-back in notifications get the same treatment.

One catch. The waiting click is dropped, not queued. While a follow is out, the button only tells screen readers it is disabled, with no spinner and no grey, so nothing appears to happen. Follow someone on a slow line, change your mind, click again, and nothing is sent. You are still following when the first request lands. Wait for it, then click.
