Three screenshots make the case in commit reports

The Report commit dialog now takes up to three screenshots, picked, pasted, or dropped, so moderators can see what you saw. Only you and the moderation desk can open them.

Open the Report commit dialog on someone else's commit and there is a picture button beside the details box. Paste a screenshot straight from the clipboard, drop files onto the form, or pick up to three JPEG, PNG, or WebP images, 10 MB apiece. Each one gets a thumbnail and an optional description before you hit Send report.

Credit goes to sheraz4196, who hooked reporting into the image pipeline the composer already uses. The server checks the actual bytes, refuses anything over 6,000 pixels a side, then shrinks and re-encodes each picture as WebP at up to 1,600 pixels a side and quality 60. Re-encoding throws away the original metadata, so GPS coordinates do not ride along. The files and their descriptions are encrypted in storage, and the reported author gets a not-found page if they try the link.

One catch. You still get one report per commit. If you have already filed one, the dialog opens and cheerfully says the report was received, but any fresh screenshots you attach are quietly discarded, and the old report keeps the old evidence.
